LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT

Howdy Members,

Our only event this month will be the Junior Rodeo on the 19th with signups at 6pm and start at 7pm.

Just a reminder to get in your volunteer hours and make sure you attend enough horse shows, gymkhanas and or junior rodeos to qualify for yearend awards. I’d hate to see anyone miss out on all our great yearend awards. Check out the pictures on the site from last year’s awards banquet to see for yourself.

Members, we are in need of sponsors and every little bit helps! The sponsors help tremendously in making the yearend awards as awesome as they are! If anyone you know may want to sponsor please pass on my info to them, Kathy Libonati 623 566-8732 rnkranch95@msn.com or have them fill out a sponsor form from the web site and send it to the SSC post office box. Everyone’s efforts in this matter will be greatly appreciated.

Have a great summer,

Kathy Libonati
SSC President

Gymkhana Report

Hello Everyone,

First I'd like to thank everyone that helped with the poop scooping. It looked great at the end of the night and everyone's efforts with this are greatly appreciated. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

Even though it was a hot day, our June gymkhana was a great success. We had 64 riders and were done in less than 6 hours.

*NOTE: Our August 16th gymkhana will start at 5pm and signups will be from 3:45-4:45pm. Our events will be Barrels, 2 Pole Run, Washington Poles and Double Bow Tie. With the heat, this may be a good opportunity to use the option below.

Remember there are NO LATE ENTRIES so you may want to use the option below.

We have made it even easier for you to pre enter please see below and take advantage of this easy pre-entry option: A) click on the gymkhana entry form on the web site. B) Then copy the entry form and paste it into an e-mail. C) Fill it out and don't forget to check the age class or novice class you belong in, the events you are riding in and your personal info along with any time onlys. D) Then just send that e-mail to me at rnkranch95@msn.com E) upon receiving your pre-entry I will send you back an e-mail confirming your pre entry with a total amount due the day of the gymkhana. It's that simple!!! On the day of the gymkhana there will be a special line for pre-entries where you just sign your form and pay with a check or cash and receive your time only tickets. Lets take advantage of this easy pre-entry option and help out the SSC volunteers by entering early! You can still send your entry in via postal mail too.

Horse Show Report

By: Wendy Peterson
Horse shows are officially on Summer Break. We will resume again in September with Western show #4. Remember in order to qualify for year end points you must ride in at least 4 shows in each division you wish to qualify in (example age group and crossrails or age group and ranch horse etc...) Our June show was a lot of fun. We had 44 entries and even some new faces up from Tucson to enjoy the fun. The drill team did a fantastic job of opening our show for us (what else could we expect though!). A special thanks to our judge Carolyn Dobbins who got us out of their faster than we ever have before. Our big excitement of the night was the lights suddenly turning off in the middle of our jumping rounds. Horselover's park staff was great as always though and got us back up and jumping in no time. Thanks to everyone who came out and showed and volunteered time. We can not put on these events without our volunteers.

Well July is here it always comes in with a bang. Our Jr. Rodeo will be July 19th start time 7 pm sign ups at 6pm. Hopefully, with a slight breeze, the temp will be under 110 degrees.
