Gymkhana Year-End Eligibility

As a Scottsdale Saddle Club member, you can earn points and year end awards when you participate in gymkhanas. These awards are presented at our annual Awards Banquet. 

In order to qualify for year-end awards you must be a Scottsdale Saddle Club member in good standing, complete the required number of volunteer hours and compete in the required number of events.

Individual Members must meet the requirements of a minimum of six (6) hours of total service at Scottsdale Saddle Club Gymkhanas. 
Family Members must meet the requirements of a minimum of twelve (12) hours of total service at Scottsdale Saddle Club Gymkhanas. 

Gymkhana awards require participation in more than half of the events for the year. (Example: if there are 8 gymkhanas, you must ride in at least 5 of them). 

Leadline: Must ride in both classes at each show for points to count. 
Beginner, Novice & Adult Novice: Riders must compete in 2 of the 3 events of the day for points to count. 
Intermediate & Age classes: Riders must compete in 2 of the 3 events of the day for points to count. 

No points will count until memberships fees are paid. Points will NOT be retroactive.

1st place = 6 pts., 2nd place = 5 pts., 3rd place = 4 pts., 4th place = 3 pts., 5th place = 2 pts., 6th place = 1 pt. 

Please bring any discrepancies to the attention of the gymkhana committee ASAP.
